James 1:2-4 (VOICE) 2-4 Don’t run from tests and hardships, brothers and sisters. As difficult as they are, you will ultimately find joy in them; if you embrace them, your faith will blossom under pressure and teach you true patience as you endure. And true patience brought on by endurance will equip you to complete the long journey and cross the finish line—mature, complete, and wanting nothing.
Just as in the natural when the “newness” of the New Year wears off, January leaves, and everyone gets over the fact that it’s a NEW YEAR—that’s what the enemy is trying to do with God’s children spiritually. The enemy is trying to divert the Children of God’s attention with this lie, “nothing has changed.” This lie has caused many to lose momentum and has left many in pain as they have partnered with this lie. I see a blindfold over the eyes to blind you to the change that has taken place. This blindfold of deception has caused many to forget what they have seen during the month of January.
The Spirit of Truth says, “The TRUTH is, EVERYTHING HAS CHANGED. You will never enter into the flow of My presence and leave with nothing. Don’t run–FIGHT to stay within the flow of My Spirit. Do not allow anything/anyone (not even you) to detour you from the TRUTH OF ALL I’VE SPOKEN TO YOU, ALL I HAVE POURED INTO YOU DAY AFTER DAY. I have shown you things by My Spirit. Things that you can’t deny are Me. Listen for My voice and refuse to follow the stranger’s voice, no matter what you may feel all around you. Trust in Me. Stand on My Truth. Hear Me and follow the sound of My voice. YOU HAVE THE VICTORY”
This is how you should act during wartime: When you go to battle against your enemies, if you see their army is larger than yours and they have horses and chariots, don’t be afraid of them! The Eternal your God is with you—the same God who defeated Pharaoh and brought you out of Egypt. As you are approaching the battlefield, your priest will come over to you and address you: “Listen, Israel! Today you’re going to fight a battle against your enemies. Don’t be intimidated by them! Don’t be afraid! Don’t run away! Don’t let them terrify you! The Eternal, your True God, has come out here with you, and He’ll fight for you against your enemies and save you.” Deuteronomy 20:1-4 (VOICE)
The sheep would not be willing to follow a stranger; they run because they do not know the voice of a stranger. The thief approaches with malicious intent, looking to steal, slaughter, and destroy; I came to give life with joy and abundance. John 10:5,10 (VOICE)
So now, beloved ones, stand firm and secure. Live your lives with an unshakable confidence. We know that we prosper and excel in every season by serving the Lord, because we are assured that our union with the Lord makes our labor productive with fruit that endures.
